Established in 2016 by the family of Eugene “Freedom” Blackwell in memory of his fight for equity throughout our community and a special focus on our youth. The purpose of this fund is to support African American youth in grades k through 12th to pursue opportunities to further their education in STEM and other programs that prepare them for their future. The fund will also support entrepreneurial efforts of African American male youth. These causes were important to Freedom and where he dedicated most of his efforts.
