Bill Nunn III Legacy Fund

Elaine L. Effort Legacy Fund

The Elaine L. Effort Legacy Fund was established in 2024 by her family and friends. The purpose of the fund is to support the Pittsburgh Black Media Federation (PBMF), an organization advocating for fair representation of the African American community in the news and an increased presence of journalists of color in newsrooms. Elaine was a news producer, host of Pittsburgh Profiles, and award-winning reporter for 38 years with news radio station KQV 1410 in addition to her TV segment In Focus. She was a charter member of PBMF in 1973 and often volunteered as an instructor for their annual Frank Bolden Urban Journalism Workshop for teenagers.

Financial and Moral Supporters (Fams) Fund
