INVESTING IN THE BLACK COMMUNITIES OF TOMORROW
The Viola M. Coleman, Medical Education Fund was established in 2022 by the estate of Dr. Viola M. Coleman to honor her life and legacy. This scholarship fund provides financial assistance to Medical School Students. It focuses on students who are attending HBCU’s (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) and are pursuing a terminal degree in Human Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy.
Applicants MUST be enrolled in an accredited doctoral program at an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities)
Applicants MUST be pursuing a Doctorate in Human Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy
i.e. MD (Doctor of Medicine), DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) (DO), DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery), DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry/Doctor of Dental Medicine), Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy)
Applicants MUST have successfully completed their Pre-Medical (Pre-Med) studies
Applicant may be from anywhere in the US
Applicants MUST have at least a 3.0 GPA at the time of application
Multiple nonrenewable scholarships, worth between $1,500 and $2,500 are to be awarded annually
