As the Program Officer for Scholarships, Nakiah plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative scholarship programs. Her position involves cultivating meaningful relationships with students, parents, schools, fund advisors, and committees ensuring the successful launch and management of these programs.

Before joining POISE, Nakiah served the families and students of Duquesne University, working under the Dean of the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts in the Academic Advising office. In her capacity as an administrator in the advising office, she managed the registration process for incoming freshmen and transfer students, and served as the University Administrator and Academic Advisor for all visiting students, high school students, and members of the faculty and staff taking courses.

Nakiah resides in Beaver County with her husband. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys watching sports, traveling, and time with her family and friends.
