Morton Stanfield

Morton Stanfield is Senior Vice President of Community Development and Community Reinvestment Act Officer for Dollar Bank, responsible for the execution of community development initiatives across Dollar Bank’s footprint, including western Pennsylvania, northeast Ohio, Cumberland Narrows Community in Maryland and the Hampton Roads community in Virginia. Over his more than 18-year career in the banking industry, Morton has also held roles in retail banking and corporate lending.

In 2022, Morton was named CRA Officer of the Year by the Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group (PCRG). Additionally, in both 2022 and 2023, Dollar Bank was recognized by PCRG for Overall Excellence in African American Lending, Excellence in African American Lending for Home Purchases, and Overall Excellence in Small Dollar Lending with a focus on Low-to-Moderate Income and African American populations. Morton led Dollar Bank’s CRA efforts which garnered a 12^th consecutive overall Outstanding rating on its most recent CRA Exam dated January 2, 2024. 

Under Morton’s leadership, the Bank was awarded the 2023 American Bankers Association Foundation’s Community Commitment Award in the Affordable Housing category. This national award recognized Dollar Bank’s innovative and impactful “The Way Home” program that offers first-time, low-to moderate-income homebuyers with free one-on-one credit counseling, down payment and closing cost assistance.

Morton is a graduate of Carlow University, where he was named a 2022 Carlow Laureate honoree – an award granted to alumni whose work, thought and action demonstrate the highest standards of professional accomplishment and leadership.  He is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, the Wharton Executive Leadership Program, the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Advanced School of Banking, Leadership Pittsburgh Class XXX, and The Advanced Leadership Institute at the Carnegie Mellon University Tepper School of Business. Morton is also a proud member of the Pittsburgh Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc.

Morton serves on the board of directors of several community organizations including the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium, the Mount Ararat Community Activity Center, Bridgeway Capital, and as Chair of Neighborhood Allies.
