Anthony S. Fountain & Alissa Fountain-Burse Scholarship Fund

INVESTING IN THE BLACK COMMUNITIES OF TOMORROW

The Anthony S. Fountain and Alissa Fountain-Burse Scholarship Fund was established in January 2007 within the POISE Foundation. The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to students who are aspiring to teach in a public school for grades 1-12. Students can apply from any school in the United States.

To be eligible for the scholarship applicants must:

  1. Be an undergraduate or graduate student from any school in the United States with a minimum of 60 college credits, majoring in education, and aspiring to teach in grades 1-12.

  2. Have a minimum of a 2.7 GPA.

Three (3) $3,500 scholarships were awarded in 2023
